Anecdotes of

Abundance from Assam

Nestled in the southern lap of the Eastern Himalayas along the Brahmaputra River, Assam boasts of a rich and diverse natural heritage. The Tea Tribe forms an important proportion of population of Assam and are scattered across the Brahmaputra Valley. TFI’s endeavour to promote and preserve their intangible culture and heritage has transpired an annual cultural festival. This has given the community a platform to showcase their distributed fragments of performing arts, literature as well as sports.

With a goal of

Conserving its Ecological Balance

TFI partakes in a joint project to assess the migratory routes of elephants and identify appropriate conservation measures that can facilitate elephant and other wildlife movement between Kaziranga and Karbi Anglong Hills. With the help of state-of-the-art technology and scientific methods to identify areas intensively used by elephants for movement during the flood season, we contrast the use of space by elephants during the dry season.
